GTAW – TIG Welding Courses

The Gas Tungsten Arc Welding course is designed to teach welders about arc welding safety and the gas tungsten arc process in this preparatory beginner course. One-hundred and ten (110) hours of booth instruction and ten (10) hours of lecture and practice make up this course.

Course Contents:

  • Learn fundamentals of GTAW (TIG)
  • Welding Procedures are taught on aluminum, mild steel and stainless steel.
  • Welding on edge, corner, lap, butt and fillet welds.
  • Welding is limited to 11 gauge materials which does not include thick plate, pipe or other irregular shapes

Course Objective:

Each student will have an understanding on how the GTAW process works and be able to perform a fillet weld in all positions. Student will receive a certificate upon completion.
